Happy New Year 2010

Now is the accepted time to make your regular annual resolutions.  Many people look forward to the new year for a new start on old habits.  For others, a New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.

The object of a New Year is not that we should have anew year.  It is that we should have a new soul.  We spend January 1 walking through our lives, room by room, drawing up a list of flaws and work to be done.  Maybe this year, to balance the list, we ought to walk through the rooms of our lives… not looking for flaws, but for potential.

Unbelievably the Stephens family is still doing Christmas today.  The 14 inches of snow that fell in Oklahoma City on Christmas Eve caused us to delay Christmas on Diane’s side of the family until today.

So…I again wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
